Cholesteatoma
Cholesteatoma

Cholesteatoma is characterized by non-cancerous and abnormal skin growth in the middle ear, behind eardrum. This medical condition can be genetic or due to recurrent infection in the middle ear.
Some of the common symptoms of cholesteatoma are swelling in the inner ear, chronic infection in the ear, vertigo, brain abscess, facial muscles paralysis and meningitis.
If the growth is not treated it may even lead to a permanent hearing loss. Our ENT specialist will carefully evaluate you and remove the cyst surgically.
