Swimmer’s Ear
Swimmer’s Ear

Swimmer’s ear, also known as 'otitis externa', is seen mostly among swimmers or people exposed to water for long hours.
This medical condition is due to water particles entering the inner part of the ear and staying there for a longer duration, making the skin damp which is suitable for the growth of bacteria and fungi to multiply.
Common symptoms of swimmer’s ear are;
Redness and itchy ear, flow of odourless fluid (ear discharge), inflammation and/or shooting ear pain, and hearing loss. When the condition progresses, the patient will have trouble opening the jaw, this could be because of the swelling of the lymph nodes. Our Ear Doctor in Coimbatore is recognized for treating the ear problems associated due to regular swimming. Our ENT Hospital in Coimbatore has the best infrastructure to provide ear treatment and medication.
